The Hotel Bucintoro is found right on the water in
front of the riva San Biagio, with a view of Bacino San Marco. The view
is spectacular, and the position could not be better making it perfect
for visiting the center of the city. In fact, the very famous Saint
Mark's square is just a 10 minute stroll from the hotel.
In just 5 minutes, you are at the Arsenale water boat stop. The very
famous Giardini della Biennale is only 10 minutes in the other
direction. Just a few meters away, tourists will find the Arsenale and
the Naval Museum. The well known beach area of Lido where the annual
film Festival takes place is a quick water boat rides, as well. It is a
quick ride to the Rialto bridge, the Gallerie dell'Accademia and the
world famous Peggy Guggenheim Collection. It is so close to all these
famous attractions and in the same time in one of the most quiet,
typical Venetian neighbourhoods, off the beaten track. This area has
many famous eateries, cafes and restaurants, perfect for a traditional,
unique experience. |
How to get to the hotel
By plane
From the Marco Polo Venice arirport
By boat: from the boat landing at the airport, take a water taxi and in
less than an hour, you will arrive at the hotel. It is also possible to
take the Alilaguna shuttle–the red line that stops at the Arsenale in
just about and hour, and the Hotel Bucintoro is about 150 meters from
the stop.
By land: Bus + vaporetto: take the shuttle bus in the direction of
Venice, where you will end up at the car and bus terminal. |

From here it is possible to continue by private taxi
or by the public transportation waterbus ACTV no.1 that goes down the
Canal Grande and will stop at the Arsenale after 45 minutes. The line 41
goes by way of the Canale della Giudecca and will stop at the Arsenal in
about 30 minutes.
From the Canova airport of Treviso
Take the shuttle for Venezia and Piazzale Roma where the bus and cars
stop.
Continue as explained above.
By train
When you get to the Venice train station, Venezia Santa Lucia, take the
waterbus ACTV line no.1 in the direction of San Marco / Lido (45 minutes
journey), or the line 41 in the direction of Giudecca (30 minutes
journey) Get off at the Arsenale. The Hotel Bucintoro is found on the
right hand side after 150 meters.
By Car
After parking the car in one of the parking garages at Piazzale Roma or
at the Tronchetto (the island off to the right after the "ponte della
Libertà"), you can continue with the waterbus line 1 that goes in the
direction of San Marco, the journey time is about 45 minutes.. The line
41 in the direction of Giudecca takes about 30 minutes. If instead you
are leaving from the Tronchetto, take the line 82 in the direction of
Giudecca, and get off at San Zaccaria. Here, you will change and take
the line 41 that goes to the Arsenale, where you will find the Hotel
Bucintoro about 150 meters on the right. |
